It’s Sunday….right?

June 7, 2009

Yep, I guess it is Sunday, it’s a lovely day although there is a thunderstorm quite close by. The sun is out and so is the washing, depending on the amount of rain we get today is directionally proportional to the posibility of starting the lawnmower.

Child one went out and about last night (21st party I think), child two had a couple of mates over last night (I slept through it) and child three is rekindling his artistic side today, fairly calm day I expect.

Last night my dream included the new (and stupid) bread slicer we got at work, really we swapt a slicer we knew how to cope with to a posessed item of machinery that we just can not ‘click’ with. That was putting it mildly. Sure it takes up less room but we are finding it a little hard to deal with, in particular when we request it to perform its designed task. Anyway, in the dream we wheeled it out to the backdock and tipped it over the edge, thats not the strange part (as I can imagin that happening), but other team members were actually assisting me. wow. Maybe it was the thought of being involved with one of  ‘Jan’s’ crazy but passable (How does she get away with that?) events or the thought of me actually having someone listen to me when seeking assistance… Who knows, it was a dream after all.

Wind and rain about to pick up, I have retrieved the washing from the line… before rain started yay….. will endevour to find the iron and fix the board to sit comfotably whist I iron my uniforms.

Must go clean something, I just heard that my brother may call in today and the house looks exactly the same as when he last visited. sheeesh. I hate housework.

Yay…..

Where’s mine???

June 6, 2009

That’s right, I said Where’s mine??. Not sure why I felt like asking that, but here I am….. I need a break, yep that’s right I need a holiday, a rest from work, a rest from everybody asking me for something, or to do something for them, or making me feel like I have to do something or get something for them…..OK I can tell I am just tired. Can you tell me when you are done with the puter, what’s for tea, can I have some money, can I have this, oh I ate/used/finished that, oh I want that, pass that to me, can you deliver this injured worker to the doctors oh and stay there, can you get the backdock, do you mind jumping on service, can you take it, can you get this for me, can you take me here there wherever, I want I want I want, oh but I want it now. I am tired, maybe I need an attitude adjustment but I know I am tired.

Sometimes I don’t want to do anything, I want to relax on my days off too, I have washing to do, dishes to do, general cleaning up to do too, sometimes I want to catch up with other people too, I do have a couple of friends too. I want to go to the pictures, I want to go out for coffee, I want to sleep in, I want to just sit in front of the puter, I want to cook something outrageous, I want a beer, I want to lay in bed reading a book, I want to hang washing on the line not rush things through the dryer… I want to get the iron out occasionally, I want to SEE the loungeroom floor occasionally, I want my pillow back, I want to find all my tea-towels, find all my towels fullstop. I want to learn how to use an Ipod, mobile phone etc etc. I want a new pair of shoes, I want to make dinner and there actually be enough forks in the draw for everyone to use…. just once that would be nice. I want to live in the country, who cares……. I am sick of asking people to do the dishes, sick of asking people to put their washing out, sick of asking people to do anything….. So I am not doing it anymore.

I really am tired ain’t I…

Went to the cinema with child three and his friend, saw the latest Terminator movie, as unimpressed as I was at the thought of seeing it, I was thrilled with it, it’s a great movie….. Happy to have seen it now.

Today I slept in, went out for coffee, went to the pictures, sat infront of the puter, did the washing, did the dishes and am now cooking something outrageous (turkey roast with a honey glaze), wonderful day.

Work for the next eight days, two of those days I will be in the city of a first aid thingy, yay, going by train with a couple of other workmates. Should be great except for the mess at Coles when we all get back there. We have very limited staff numbers at the moment, banned from having juniors in most depts until new tax year. Makes it very hard to have a day off or do our first aid stuff. A usual shift at the moment is 30 mins getting our own work done then the rest of the time on service… makes it hard to get stuff done, but I am sure they will meet their budgets……good for them, I hope they enjoy their bonus…..Arseholes. Whatever.

Hope everybody is having a great day… I did.
